NOTES:
PQè Eat as much of your food RAW as possible. DO NOT eat fruits with anything else! DO NOT eat concentrated protein AND starch in
the same meal! Concentrated protein requires acid to be digested and the enzyme necessary to digest starch is inactivated by acid;
thus, the combination is poorly digested! Small amounts of concentrated protein (1 or 2 nuts or a few seeds) will combine well with
lots of vegetables. Similarly, starch will combine well with lots of vegetables. Try to keep the total protein concentration of
any meal below 1% for optimum digestion. Cooking starch yields about 10 times the starch for digestion as the same item raw, so
eating large amounts of cooked starch leads to obesity. Wait at least 4 hours after eating a starch or protein meal before eating a
different class of food, similarly wait 1 hour after fruit(s). Avoid spices, seasonings and herbs; they are toxic!
ALL items in [square parentheses] are NOT RECOMMENDED as foods, but are included for completeness.
1> These are concentrated proteins and starches, greater than 5%. Cooked protein is indigestible; thus, the offensive fecal and
body odors of meat/bean/egg eaters.
2> Nuts and seeds contain 10-25% protein and should be diluted with vegetables to about 1% protein overall, or they will cause
digestive difficulties.
3> Potato/sweet potato are in the Deadly Nightshade family and can cause psychological disturbances such as strange dreams, etc.
4> Meat is a major cause of cardiovascular disease, cancer and strokes. Contains growth and sex hormones (DES), antibiotics.
5> Chickpeas: soak in water at room temperature overnight, rinse, store under water in refrigerator. Eat raw.
6> Poultry contains growth/sex hormones (DES), salmonella bacteria, antibiotics.
7> Grains contain mostly starch and create mucus in the body. Gluten in whole grains causes psychological disturbances.
8> Fish, although having less fat than meats or poultry, contain mercury which is a brain and central nervous system toxin.
9> Cooked beans are indigestible and create a lot of intestinal gas due to sulfur containing amino acids. Best eaten sprouted.
10> Cheese is little more than salty, rotting milk and contains cholesterol, indigestible casein, 30-70% fat.
11> Eggs contain cholesterol, and when cooked form indigestible protein due to cross linking by sulfur containing amino acids.
12> ALL "vegetables" (parts of plants) have natural pesticides (toxins) to protect the plant from insects, hence their bitterness.
13> For information on sprouting: The Sproutletter, POBox 62, Ashland, OR 97520
14> Avocado (a fruit), because of its oil content, will slow digestion and transit time.
15> This group contains Oil of Mustard, a poison used in chemical warfare in WWI. Not recommended.
16> Acid fruit dissolves teeth, do not eat out of hand! Drink juice with straw to minimize tooth contact or avoid altogether.
17> Dried fruits contain up to 70% fruit sugar and should be eaten after soaking in distilled water or eaten in small amounts with
subacid fruit(s) to reduce sugar concentration. Eat melons or bananas alone. Copyright 1988 by Lawrence J. Forti
